The evening voyage in Kovai Express was serene and good till then. I wouldn't mention it as beautiful till its meaning came to use. The D3100 had exhausted and its battery dried up after a marathon volley of almost 220 snaps in 3 hours covering everything throughout the way. That poor thing would have shed tears if it had life. Boredom was almost looming on the nick. I gazed outside as I had been doing for the past 4 hours, with the anticipation of something great to view, as every lonely traveler would. My brain vaguely questioned as why there are no TV advertisements for SLRs. If given a chance, I was pondering over what clips would brief impressively the awesomeness of the SLR.
Outside meanwhile, the millionth mountain range passed by. And thats when THAT scene arrived. A bright streak of dim yellowish white light emerged atop the peak of a mountain.Must be some temple or viewpoint on the top trolled my senses. But how could that be this bright, glowing and of course so visible from a distance of 3-4 miles asked my mind. That's when I realised my stupidity. God. surprisingly it was none other than Mr.Moon making a grand luminescent entry in his night shift, replacing his counterpart Mr.Sun! I dint notice Mr.Sun leaving though. That instance a weird thought struck my senses, why people naturally crave watching or picturing the sunrise and not the moonrise??? Obviously,me myself had found enjoying and picturing the sunrise a few times, but the same dint apply with the moonrise. Doesn't mean am uninterested with Mr.Moon as I had pictured him too coupla times.
Enough of these foolish queries and focussing back on the topic. Mr.M emerged radiantly as how a candle flame would light up brightly, just before dying.Light rays streaked over the mountain constantly till the time he was high on sky. Daylight on the other hand naturally adjusted and kept lowering. Coincidentally, to add to the beauty of the scene a goods rail chugged by slowly. The blue bogies of the train exactly camouflaged with the dull azure of the evening sky. Here is where ' BEAUTIFUL' can be used. I just imagined how it would be if there was a deep blue sea instead of the barren land between the train and mountains. It would be bliss. Damn me for wasting my SLR power, at least I would have covered the sight on video if,I yelled over myself.
Unusual or peculiar than always, some more striking images passed by instantly after this. An ancient rail bridge with a stream below, silhouette of a man standing by fire, stark glowing red and green signals, one more multi-colourful goods locomotive are all that I could remember. All this while Mr.M was still rising rapidly.Perfectly circular and extremely radiant. Yeah, it was new moon that day I came to know later. Moon kept moving left although while my train was also travelling left. Hmmm, the earth DOES rotate I told myself. Finally when he reached the maximum spot in the sky, he was surrounded intermittently by flocks of awesomely shaped clouds which was yet another BEAUTIFUL sight. The desperation to watch Wes Anderson's latest creation, which was synonymous with the evening, filled over my mind (although I couldn't find a good print yet). This indeed is one great evening. Loneliness too is happiness sometimes. This evening had made me write this stuff considering how lazy I am when it comes to presenting something. Cheers!!

Confronting reality, I was really looking forward to read this... As I went through reading, I started having a small curve in my lips and my toes started curling with gratitude.... As it is said 'The metal shine = The physical strain', it took a 8 hour boring second seater train journey for you to feel her presence... She does not grant favours to every one that easily... she wants men to catch it from the horns... When one does so, she showers favours on them... MOTHER NATURE ....
